In article number 2306497, Dong-Hwee Kim and co-workers report a novel method for selectively controlling a molecular binding force between intracellular protein integrin and extracellular matrix ligand protein in a pN scale, using a rupture force of double strand DNA. They demonstrate such a miniscule change of binding force can lead directional cell migration by phosphorylation of focal adhesion kinase (FAK).
